Free Pinning Workshop 2011

Shortly before the summer time off from official LES meetings Bedros Orchanian and Dave Wikle hosted the popular Free Pinning Workshop at the June 2011 general meeting to teach those new to the hobby how to properly mount and set various types of lepidoptera. The pinning workshop was also a place and time for collectors to share different effective techniques. Specimens were provided as well as different types of spreading boards and pins for those who did not have any supplies. Specimens were free to take home after being spread properly.

We all would like to thank Bedros Orchanian and Dave Wikle for dedicating the time to set up a workshop like this, BioQuip Products for letting us use their warehouse for our monthly meetings and the showroom for the pinning workshop, and to everyone who came and shared knowledge around.

Use the summer time off to apply those new skills learned and come back at the September Annual Show & Tell to show us your catches. We will see you then.
