LES Meeting February 25

The Lorquin Entomological Society will have a meeting on Friday February 25, 2011. The speaker will be Marshall W. Johnson.

Marshall W. Johnson specializes in the biological control of arthropods. He received his Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of California at Riverside in 1979. After 20 years at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, he moved to California in 2002 and initiated extension and research targeting arthropod problems on a variety of food plants such as grapes, stone fruit, almonds, walnuts, and olives which are primarily grown in the San Joaquin Valley. He has over 30 years of work experience on various crop systems.

Dr. Johnson currently is focused on the ecology and management of insect species attacking commercial and ornamental olives.
