Moments from the Cal Poly Pomona Insect Fair 2010

Many members had a wonderful time at the 2010 Cal Poly Pomona Insect Fair. A thanks goes out to all the wonderful people at Cal Poly for hosting such an event every year. The public once again got to see what the fascinating world of insects is all about.

Lorquin October 22 Meeting

The Lorquin Entomological Society will have Keith Willingham, BCE, NEHA, as a speaker. He will talk about the biology, habits, inspection, and control of Bed Bugs. Keith has 26 years with Western Exterminator and is VP, Technical Services.

The Meeting will be Hosted at the BioQuip Warehouse
 Doors open at 7 P.M. Meeting starts at 8 P.M.


Cal Poly Pomona Annual Insect Fair

It's that time of year again. Time for the annual California State Polytechnic University, Pomona Insect Fair. The fair is hosted by the university and all are invited to join the fun. There you will sight many Lorquin members manning their tables and displaying their collections.

Saturday October 16th & Sunday October 17th from 8AM-5PM

The venue will be at the Bronco Student Center

Admission to Insect Fair
$6 Adults, $4 Students and Children 3-12, 2 and under are free

There will also be a Pumpkin Festival located at the university's Farm Store just across the street where a variety of entertainment can be found. What is a pumpkin festival without thousands of pumpkins spread across a field for sale.
